About JMD Teaching
JMD Teaching is a Bath-based music education company providing high-quality music tuition for schools, families and private students.
We offer lessons in drums, (piano and guitar coming soon) delivered by experienced, reliable and carefully selected teachers. Our aim is to make music education accessible, enjoyable and professionally delivered, whether through one-to-one lessons, small group tuition, workshops or after-school clubs.
For schools, JMD Teaching provides a simple and trustworthy way to expand music provision. We work with DBS-checked, qualified teachers and place strong importance on reliability, communication and creating positive musical experiences for pupils.
Our goal is to help students build confidence, develop musical skill and enjoy learning an instrument in a supportive environment.
Meet the Team
Jamie Dobson
Drum Teacher / Founder
Jamie Dobson is the founder of JMD Teaching and an experienced drummer, teacher and performer based in Bath.
Jamie holds an ATCL Diploma in Drumming, Grade 5 Music Theory and an Enhanced DBS certificate. He has extensive teaching experience and has received strong feedback for his encouraging, clear and supportive teaching style.
As JMD Teaching grows, Jamie will work with carefully selected piano, guitar and vocal teachers who meet the high standards of the business. Teachers working with JMD Teaching are expected to be experienced, reliable, DBS checked and qualified to at least Grade 8 standard or equivalent.
